Trowan and St Ives and around…

Nestled in the ancient hamlet of Trowan, just a mile to the west of the famous St Ives, lies Baragwainaith.  On a secluded cliff top and bordered by National Trust land in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the house offers the unique position of being away from it all yet within a few minutes drive from all the hussle and bussle of beautiful St Ives including the world famous Tate and Barbara Hepworth.  Further afield, but not far, you have Marazion (St Michael's Mount), Penzance, Land's end, the stunning Minack theatre, to name but a few.

The South west coast past is accessible from the back garden and a stunning walk to Zennor or St Ives awaits - all you need is some wellies or boots and a map. West Cornwall is particularly rich in the number of heritage sites it offers to explore. Or if you prefer exploring of the foodie kind, there are fantastic pubs a short drive away including Hastletown Inn and the award winning Gunnards Head. There are endless lovely coffee shops for that special, compulsory cream tea.
